8 week training plans

Saturday, January 16, marks 8 weeks before the first Mad Park 5K. Even if you have never run a day in your life, there are 8-week training programs that will get you ready to do your first 5K (3.1 miles) with us. You can do it!!! Here are some FREE 8-week 5K training programs.

The world wide web is full of training plans. Google your little heart away or visit your local running store. The running community in Charlotte (heck, even our neighborhood) is alive and well. There are 2 running groups each week in Madison Park. On Tuesday nights a group meets at Pinewood Elementary School at 6:30pm. On Thursday nights a group meets at Brawley’s Beverage at 6:30pm.

I hope to see you running around this neighborhood like a crazy person soon!
